LNK Revamps Its OTT with Backscreen
LNK, Lithuania’s leading private national broadcaster, has partnered with Backscreen, a cross-gen OTT platform provider, to modernize LNK’s OTT services. The project will enable multiple forms of advertising-based monetization and support multiple screens. The deployment will be based on Tet Cloud.
LNK operates five live TV channels available free-to-air through terrestrial and cable networks. It produces around 35% of its content. To improve monetization and adapt to the changing patterns in content consumption, LNK has decided to expand its digital distribution.
Backscreen will provide the OTT platform for advertising-based video on demand (AVOD) and dynamic ad insertion (DAI) in-stream monetization. The platform will embed display monetization fields within UI. On the UX side, the Backscreen platform with its cross-gen design will appeal to the traditional live TV audience while providing transition to non-linear experience. It will also include the VOD portal embedding the most recent paradigms for video UX. The service will be hosted on Tet Cloud which is fully controlled by EU entities to ensure security and stability in these uncertain geopolitical times.
